Everything you can open below runs on real Hann photographs, today, with nothing generated and nothing faked. Each one is also wired to accept the film later: same runway, same chapters, same clock, drop the video in.

The film is a single continuous 10-second shot, scrubbed by your scroll. It does not exist yet, on purpose. Cinescroll spends nothing until you have picked the concept it should shoot.

A — the unanimous pick of the judges

Fossil, Then Fire

The camera starts inside a hundred-million-year-old shell fossil in a honed Texas limestone fireplace wall, lit only by the blue root of an ember two millimetres away. The flame front running outward from that ember is what lights every fossil in the wall, and finally the whole double-height room.

MechanicScroll is the light budget. The page lights up as you advance, because the only light source in the film is the one you are moving.

Known riskHann has no fire photography, so today's stand-in cannot be dark. The light readout claims a darkness the real photos contradict. The film fixes this; the photo runway cannot.

Still Air, Then Wind

The camera circles a bronze pocket jamb in a house built tight enough that a single dust mote hangs frozen in a blade of morning sun. Then a thirty-four-foot glass wall unstacks past the lens into that jamb, Houston's outside air arrives, and everything moves at once.

MechanicThe visitor sets the pace and the house waits. Drag the plan, or scroll, and the wall opens at exactly the speed you asked for. Nothing on the page ever moves faster than you.
NavigationThe rail is a dimension line, 0'-0" to 34'-6". Made-to-measure stated as a measurement, not as an adjective.
The argumentA frozen dust mote is the build quality. The air does not move because someone sealed it properly, which is workmanship nobody can inspect after drywall.
Why it is hereThe buyer judge scored it 9 and named it the only concept in the set that dramatizes listening — the exact quality in the testimonial that won Hann their last job.
Known riskTwo thirds of the film is deliberately motionless, which on a phone can read as broken rather than calm. The copy is also wiped by the wall at chapter edges, so a mid-scroll pause can catch a half-covered headline.

C — the integrity argument

Struck Grain

The camera circles a single open pore in quartersawn white oak. The medullary ray fleck ignites and races outward, so that by the end of the orbit an entire bookmatched millwork wall fires gold at once.

MechanicThe scroll is the light angle. Advance and the grain discloses itself, word by word, on the same clock as the film.
NavigationA horizontal rail through the build: material, the cut, millwork, the process, the house.
The argumentRay fleck only exists because someone paid double at the sawmill, months before the client could ever check. It is proof of integrity when nobody is watching, which is exactly what a couple is trying to assess.
Why it is hereChosen over a higher-scoring fourth concept on distinctness. That one was a fourth glass-wall film and would have given you two heroes that look alike on the filmstrip. This opens a third material world.
Known riskThe craft judge scored this lowest of the three. The video model cannot simulate the angle-dependent shimmer the concept is named after, so the film will likely render it as the wood simply getting brighter. The page is built to stand on the sawmill argument instead.

What you should know before picking

Everything below is a real finding from building these, not a caveat for its own sake.

All three, verified

  • Pass 15 automated checks each: structure, chapter windows, single scroll clock, no console errors, no broken assets, no horizontal overflow at 1440 / 1024 / 820 / 390, reduced-motion safe, mobile legible.
  • Built in the Collection's own tokens: bone, ink, Hann blue, Archivo, Fraunces, JetBrains Mono.
  • Every word on every page is real Hann copy. No invented award, statistic, project or testimonial.
  • Each is wired to take the film later without a rewrite.

What the photos cannot do

  • A stand-in runway hands off between separate photographs. Because you can stop mid-handoff, roughly 5 to 10 per cent of each runway shows two images briefly overlapping.
  • A single continuous film removes that outright. It is the clearest argument for shooting one.
  • The photo library is six strong frames, and it skews exterior and dusk. The strongest single frame in it is a kitchen remodel, not a new build.

Two things to fix regardless

  • One library image looks AI-generated. The spa or bathroom frame used as a services hero has soft plastic textures and incoherent objects. It is excluded from all three heroes and should come off the live site.
  • Two portfolio entries are the same house. The approved Collection page sells one photograph as Look 01 and a slightly tighter crop of the same evening as Look 04.
  • Cheapest upgrade available: a short shoot. Two or three twilight exteriors of a recent new build, one entry threshold, one primary suite, all unoccupied.
